Organized Mess: Blogging from A to Z

I haven’t shared with you guys how much of a #mess I am lately!
The picture is of my calendar. Yes, believe it or not, there is one in all that mess.
Well, the #mess I am sharing this time is that I am an organized mess!
(I will be sharing tips for an amazing online calendar later in the post)
There is a calendar (that I hate) among the millions of to-do lists.
This one reminds me of what I used in high school. But I bought it in a pinch.
I use my gorgeous padfolio and add a calendar and steno pad.
There has to be a better way- this is just too junky for me!
I know that many have converted to digital calendars, but I just cannot give up my paper one.
There’s just something about writing it all down.
I do have requirements though.
I have to have a binder type- I need to be able to add/ remove papers.
It needs to have monthly and weekly views.
I need other sections that I can customize to my needs. (to-do/ household/ projects/ business, etc- although I can compromise on this because I could add pages. It would be nice to already have though)
I need a section for business cards.
Does anyone use a calendar that includes these features? Is there one out there? I have been searching, but I don’t feel like any are really what I need. It is so hard for a busy lady to find a calendar that meets the demands of her busy life.

I love Google Calendar.
I know it seems kind of hypocritical, but I love the Google Calendar. I have used it for years. Don’t be confused though, because I do not depend on it to organize my life. I use it a little differently than some. When I was a manager, I developed an amazing way of coordinating with the other manager as well as the owner of the store.
Google calendar saved the day on many occasions for us!
This is my google calendar for June. In June, I am planning tour dates for a book, my birthday, anniversary, my brothers wedding, and all the stuff that happens in June. I don’t know about you, but my June is ALWAYS busy. I haven’t even started scheduling things, yet it is filling up fast.
In this instance, I will be using it to coordinate with my Mother and brother for her book and his wedding. This allows me to know what I need to do ahead of time, when I will have time to work, and when I will be unavailable. Because I can allow them to see this calendar and edit it, they can add the things that I need to be aware of so I can enter it into my own paper calendar. It also saves time because we don’t have to wait until we can all be on the phone at the same time. We can do this in our own time frame. It works wonders when you are scheduling with several different people.
How to share permissions on your Google Calendar.
1. Log into your Google account and go to your calendar.
2. In the left panel, find the calendar you want to share and click the arrow
3. Click Share this calendar.
4. From here, you can choose to make your calendar public or just share with certain users.
You can also choose to show details or just if you are busy or not.
