Edit Pinterest Board Covers
|July 12, 2012||Posted by nighlon under Social Networks|
I will admit to the world that my Pinterest boards are a mess!
I pin things and then think- “I’m pinning a lot of bathroom things, I need a new board”
So, I need some serious reorganization of my Pinterest boards. That’s one of my goals for this coming weekend.
I also want to start actually doing some of the things I pin.
To celebrate this realization, I am going to share a tip I discovered with you guys.
It may not look that bad, but trust me, it is horrendous!
First, go to your profile by clicking your name in the upper right hand corner.
When you hover over a board, a button that says “Edit Board Cover” will pop up. Just click it!
When you click that button, a window will pop up- that happens a lot on Pinterest!
Click the arrows until you find an image you are happy with. You can also show a different part of the picture by clicking on the photo and moving it around.
When you are happy with your selection, click “Set Cover.”
You now have the image of your choice as your board cover.
Note: You can do the same thing while browsing Pinterest.
Now, why would you want to do all this?
There are several reasons:
- You want to look at pretty boards
- You want to remember what you pinned on that board
- You want to see which project you wanted to complete first
Now for the marketing reasons:
You may want to promote an organizing product or post, so pin things to an organizing board and make your image the cover. People see these boards and will visit it because that image gets their attention.
You simply want to get attention on a particular board. Just pin an eye popping image, make it your cover photo, and let the visits start.
This is just the beginning of Pinterest fun!
